It really is funny how time just passes us by... I mean it has been forever since I last did any kind of blog and everyone is asking " How is our little princess??" ...so here is an update!
We started Rainbow Babes classes, it is a mommy and baby interactive class that we go to and it helps develope some of her visual skills and hand eye coordination. We have a blast, we sing songs and meet other little babies !! You should have seen her the first time she saw another baby her age. She just stared at her and giggled and reached out to her, it was so cute, my little girl is already making friends. At least she will take something after her mommy. We sure do like to make new friends. I am so glad I found the class , it gets us out of the house and we are making new friends at the same time.
Elyssa has started not only rolling over but now she is reaching out for you. If she wants you she reaches her arms towards you, it is sooo cute just melts my heart. Her hand eye coordination is incredible anymore also. She picks up her toys and transfer them from hand to hand like a pro. Oh and boy ooooh boy has she found her voice. She just sings up a storm anymore. When we put her in her car seat in the car, she starts singing to us , just as loud as she can and then all of a sudden it is silent, the little princess has plum tuckered out and fell asleep. It is just the cutest thing, I told Eddie just wait till she can talk, we are in trouble. She is going to be a little motor mouth.. of course Eddie said she gets that from her mom also!! Geez, men... We have also been spending some time in the pool as you can see in the picture above. She loves the water and loves the pool. Like Pappy said, she is going to be swimming laps around the pool when she is 2 years old! Wont be able to touch the bottom but will be swimming laps none the less!
On another front, our insurance has FINALLY approved her DOC band for her Brachycephally!! It has been a bit of a battle but we got the approval letter on Friday, we were sooooooooooo happy. In fact our Pediatrician also called us on Friday to tell us it was approved. We were so happy, I am going to call Cranial Technologies on Monday to set up an appointment for her casting. That will not be any fun at all but we have to do it... it is for her own good.
Eddie was in town most of the week this week and it has been WONDERFUL with him home. Elyssa's eyes just sparkle when she sees her daddy, it is just so sweet, you can tell she loves her daddy. He is home next week as well, but in training all week, so we will at least see him in the evening. We will be like a normal family for a week, wow, what will I do! Guess I better break out the pots and pans, will actually have to cook this week!
