Well this week Elyssa got to go to her first Texas bar/dance club. We took her to Southern Junction which is really a steak house/ dance hall. Before 10pm it is a family place where you can go to eat, after 10pm it turns into a bar only and they kick all the kids 18 and under out. It is really a neat place, where you can grill your own steak. On Wednesday it is 2-4-1 steaks, so instead of having girl’s night out at our place we packed everyone up, Eddie, Elyssa, Tonia, and Red and went to Southern Junction! I have to say we had a blast. Eddie was the grill master and cooked all of our steaks to order and I must say he did one hell of a job. The steaks were great, in fact incredible and for me a non-dead cow eater to say that, they had to be good! Now, Elyssa, our little cute little cowgirl, was the talk of the whole place! She was wearing her pink cowboy hat and had her daddy out on the dance floor most of the evening! Mommy of course was still hobbling along on her bum ankle, but I did some chasing around of her also. We got there about 7:30 and the band was already playing music and the lights were down! She absolutely loved it, and was on the dance floor wearing her little pink cowboy hat just clapping, laughing, giggling and dancing with her daddy. Even a guy we did not know came up and danced with her! She stole the whole night I have to say. I did not get a picture of her dancing with the other guy because my camera battery decided to go dead just at that second, but it was very cute and sweet none the less. I have posted an album with all the pictures I took. We than took her over to the mechanical bull and had her picture taken with everyone around the bull. I just can’t believe how much fun we had that night and how well Elyssa did with all the excitement. She fell asleep of course on the way home, she was exhausted. I got her home, got her bathed and put her to bed, and she even slept through the night that night. Looks like our little girl is going to enjoy country dancing just like her mommy and daddy do…well used to, that was the pre-baby days you know…but look now we get to take our little girl and let her enjoy some of the fun with us! Red and Tonia loved it as well and are both looking forward to going back with us!
