April 30, 2007

I took this picture of our little princess yesterday. She was wearing her "Daddy's Little Girl" preamie outfit I bought her from Baby's R Us. I just cannot stop taking pictures of her, she is just too darn cute!
Grandma left this weekend. We took her to the airport on Saturday. It has been a bit of an adjustment for me since I'm used to Grandma helping with the laundry and the bottle washing and now it is all me. I am just thankful that Elyssa has started sleeping better at night. She is getting up at around 4am ish and taking a bottle and then sleeping through to 8am. Not too bad of a schedule if you ask me. Well, when I consider she was getting up almost every hour and half before! I thought I'd never get more than 30 minutes of sleep straight...lol ! She is just growing so much, it is almost like everytime I look at her something is different. She looks so much like her daddy, I look at her and it is like looking at a "mini Eddie". I look at his baby pictures and she looks just like him.. it is just amazing. She has been suffering from a cold this past week. She is a bit miserable and there is nothing I can give her for it. She is just to darn small and to young for any meds. So I am doing all the "normal" things, cool mist humidifier, baby vics vapor rub, vapo baths, sitting in the bathroom with the shower running on hot so she can inhale the steam and help her breath. Oh , yeah and the fun part the nasal aspirator and the "little noses" nasal saline, she just LOVES that..lol, any mom out there knows what I am talking about!!
I am doing pretty good, I have officially got back into my old jeans this past week also. I still have 5 lbs of the 37 that I gained to loose but not to bad if you ask me. I am only 5 weeks post delivery and almost back to my original weight, everyone is pretty amazed but I'm not, I call it the starvation diet, the baby always needs my attention when it is time to eat soooooo who has time to eat???
Well the little one is stirring , so I have to go take care of "diaper" duty!
