April 13, 2007

We went to the airport yesterday to pick up aunt Heidi. She flew in from AZ to see her new niece. Well actually today was suppose to be Elyssa's original "BIRTHDAY" but since she decided to come so early , she is already here. I guess it worked out better for Aunt Heidi, because now she is able to spend some quality time with her not being in the hospital. My mom has been here since Mach 21 and she is staying till April 28th. Aunt Heidi will be here till April 21st, so we have lots of help and lots of company. Elyssa is getting very, very spoiled, she is being held every waking moment right now!
Her sleeping schedule is killing me. I sometimes think she hates me!! She sleeps all day just fine, we keep her up as much as possible in the evening in hopes that she will sleep during the night but NO LUCK! She is fine till I lay her in the bassinet, then 6 minutes later she is up crying, and crying and crying...and did I mention crying? I pick her up and she is fine, stops crying and is happy as a clam ( are clams really happy??) I bought here a teddy bear that makes "womb sounds" and lullabyes hoping it would help her sleep, well, it did a good job of making me tired and putting me to sleep but her... NOPE! Eddie and I just bought a new beautiful King size Plush Pillow Top tempurpedic mattress this week and I would just LOVE to sleep on it some night but I am up all night long with the baby and I'm lucky if I get an hour or so at a time. I know , I know, this is all just part of "mommy hood" and I am just getting broke in but geez, I would love to examine the insides of my eyelids for just ONE night!! Ok, enough complaining, I love my little princess even if she wants to keep her mommy up all night, I will sleep when she is 18 right?
I had a 3 week follow up appointment with my OB dr who deliverd the baby. He took off my "incision tape" and said it is all healing just fine. My sister said the scar does not look bad at all but geez, the stretch marks???? Yeah, my battle scars from this pregnancy, I will wear them proudly none the less...
Ok, baby is stirring and needs a bottle, a mom's work is never , ever done.....oh yeah, and did I mention.. I LOVE IT ????
