I can't beleive that tomorrow Eddie and I will be celebrating our 2 year wedding anniversary! So much has happened the last two years of course all of it good with some "challanges" along the way but that is what makes it all fun right? We had dated for a year before we were married so technically we have known each other for 3 wonderful years now. I think back to when Eddie and I met... geez, somedays it seems just like yesterday...lol, I was in no way looking for a man to fall in love with and marry. I had been "playing the field" so to speak at the time, in fact dating more than one guy at a time...lol. I went out on the weekends with whoever invited me first with the best proposition....gosh does that sound bad??? I had been "recovering" from a horrible break up and took well over a year to find myself and have some fun along the way. I did not "date" someone new every week, but I had my "handful" of guys who would fill my time... There was Mr. Possessive (wanted me to himself but I would not commit), Mr Anal Retentive ( everything had it's place and if it were not there he would put it in it..lol), Mr Family guy ( had a daughter a mini van and told me where my place would be in his life if I would just marry him??), I had a name for each one of them. I found fault with every guy I ever dated and would not commit. If I could not find fault with them I would invite them to meet some of my friends so they could find the faults for me...hey it worked and it kept me safe! Well being a girl of the 21st century I did a lot of "online dating". It allowed me to weed out a lot of the real loosers before the first miserable first date...hey we have to have a plan right? I never paid for the services , I would just sign up for the trial period and when it ended I would find another site, they are a dime a dozen out there ladies! Anyway, I was getting a bit fed up with the online dating thing and I was confortable dating my "group of guys" so I had decided when this last trail membership ended I would quit the online thing for awhile. Well I logged onto to check my mail one last time and there was an email from my Eddie.... I read his profile looked at his picture and thought hey, he was cute ...so I emailed him back. Why not right... I gave him my personal email address and told him it was my last day on the site and if he was interested he could email me there. Well, he did email me back and seemed very nice and so sweet and sincere. Well we emailed back in forth for a couple days and he finally asked for my phone #. I of course gave him mine and told him to call when he got a chance. Well he did call and we talked and talked and talked ... he was very sweet. He asked if I wanted to meet him and I said sure why not?? Well long story short we arranged to meet at this really nice restaurant PF Changs in Dallas on a Thursday night. I was a bit skeptical, I mean it was a pretty nice place to be meeting for the first time but heck I was worth it right? Well I got there and he met me at the front door, he was soo cute and so sweet, he made me feel at ease right away and we sat and had a wonderful dinner. Of course he had to help me order, I had never been to that restuarant and was very unsure of what to order. We had a wonderful meal and I did not want it to end...he had got a call from work while we were eating and he had to stop at his office to fix something before he went home. As we were getting ready to leave the restuarant he asked if I would like to ride with him to his office and then he would bring me back to my car.... I of course said yes, I wanted to spend more time with him...! We were walking out, he had his car valet parked.. ( I had not , I parked a bit away and walked over..lol) we waited for his car I had no idea he drove a Jag XJR so when they brought it up front my jaw dropped. Ok not really but I was quite impressed...lol. So we went to his office fixed his computer issue and he showed me around a bit. I was not really interested but girls we all know we will act interested to impress a guy right? We left there and he took me back to my car...it was not till then that he kissed me for the fist time...it was sooo sweet!! He said he had a great time and hoped we could do it again. I of course agreed and told him of course. I dont remember driving home I was floating on air.. I do remember calling my friend Mike and telling him that I had just met the most incredible man! I had already decided his "name would be Mr. Jag". Well I did expect to hear from him again but not that night, but he did end up calling me just as I was walking into my apartment to make sure I got home ok and to say again what a great time he had... he was just so sweet.
Well that is how it began, he called me Friday to invite me to dinner at his place Saturday evening. I of course said yes, and yes ladies, he made dinner for me...ok, so he went to this really posh "market" that cooks the food and all he had to do was "heat" it up but it was wonderful, coconut chicken...it was yummy! Well we continued dating and slowly my "crew" of men that I had been dating fell off into the sunset never to be seen again. I tried to find something wrong with him "Mr. Jag", but just could not, I even tried my friends but it seemed no one was able to find anything that was a fault! Everyone loved him and well I was finding that so did I.
Boy, I droned on and on about that one now didnt' I? I guess you all got more info than you really wanted, must be my pregnancy hormones kicking in...lol. But tomorrow is our 2nd anniversary of the happiest day of my life. I'm just lucky to have found him and thankful that I allowed myself to take another chance at love...
