Dec 17, 2006

Friday we went to Holiday in the Park at Six Flags. I was lots of fun, we try to go at least once during the "season" since we get season passes every year. Wait, let me rephrase that... we used to get season passes every year. We decided that next year we are not getting a season pass...not only will it not be very convient with the baby ( not much for the baby as Six Flags!) we just dont want to spend the additional money right now and we probaby wont get much use out of it anyway. We had a really nice time and it when you have a season pass there really isn't any cost to the whole evening. I of course had to get a small treat for myself, I got a this incredible thing called and Elephant ear, deep fried dough, dreanched in honey, cinamin, sugar and butter....YUMMY! But that was our only real cost for the evening so all in all it was lots of fun at no cost... my favorite kind of thing. Of course I was not able to ride any of the rides... quite a bummer for me since I LOVE all of the rides especially the rollar coasters but because of the future baby B it is a real No.. No.... They had lots of incredible shows we say at the Southern Palace and Honky Tonk Christmas Cantanina, so instead of riding we went from show to show and enjoyed all the entertainment. The park is beautiful at this time also...they have lights all over everything and they even had a "Snow Hill" where you can go sled riding. Yup, you heard me right, a snow hill at Six Flags over TEXAS!! They use tons and tons of "ice" and call it snow...hey, I'm a tobaggon vetern growing up in the great "north East" so this is really nothing compared to what I am used to , but for all of these "Sled riding deprived" Texans, this is what they call lots of fun!! The night was beautiful, all day it was almost 80 degrees outside and the evening was in the low 60's, so we did not even have to wear coats or anything. All in all it was a wonderful night!
Eddie is using up what he has to of his vacation. He had 6 days he had to use before the end of the year or he was going to loose it. So he was off on Friday, we got to spend the whole day together...I was wonderful. He is off next week from Wed through Monday of the following week and is also taking off the week of Christmas Thrusday through the following Tuesday! I think I may put him to work painting the baby's room....time is running out you know...!!
