Ok, it is Friday night again and where did I find myself? Yes, you guessed it , the Electronic Mecca Fry's... I'm beginning to believe it is now our new favorite Friday night hangout. So I may be exaggerating a bit but 3 out of the last 4 Fridays has been spent there! I did realize something about people tonight. I happened to be on the phone this evening when we walked into the store talking to mom... so while I followed Eddie to his ailse of choice, I found a nice place to sit on the "rack" as to be out of the way of fellow shoppers. Dont worry men, I made sure that there was NOTHING hanging on the wall behind me so I was not impedeing your view in any way, God forbid I sit in the way some prescious micro chip or USB something or rather. Anyway while I was sitting there chatting with mom talking about how wonderful her visit with my nephew Mikey was and to my dad about his recent business trip to Indiana, I realized that I was a serous minority in this store. This venue is a seriously male dominated atomosphere!! The only poor souls who were female that I noticed were mom's pushing baby's in carts following thier husbands up and down the aisles or woman attached to the hands of thier husband/boyfriends being dragged around like a puppy. Amazing the desperate look on these womans faces.. crying out "help me...where is the shoe section?? How about purses..I need purses".. I was hopeless to help, I was dealing with my own helplessness. But as I was sitting there watching all of the people I realized something..HELLO..MY SINGLE FRIENDS OUT THERE!! This store Fry's is an incredible place to find single MEN ?? I could be on to something, the next time a friend asks if I know or if Eddie has any single friends I will suggest a trip to Fry's!! Come on poor desperate girl walking around not sure what she is looking for, big strong handsome man helps her, hey the rest if up to you ladies ..I mean ok, so the "merchandise" can not all be considered "eye candy" but heck, I have to say I did see a few "handsome fellows" walking around. The best part is....NO COMPETITION!! Ok, I was just looking out for all the single woman in the world. I have to think that all my time I spend walking around that store is not a total waste right?
Of course after Fry's we went to Half Price Books. One of my all time favorite stores that is. I was looking for some books for my classes but I think I struck out. Looking for a particular author and title at that store is like looking for a needle in a hay stack! But it is nice to just go in and sit on the floor and just look at books.
I think I've come to realize that for the next year and half I will be stuck studying, doing nothing but assignments and taking tests. That is all, it is not a full time job, it is a full time life for me.
