Ok, so I normally don't complain about issues and problems I encounter at drive thru's that I frequent but I guess I'm just getting tired of being treated so rudely!! The other day Eddie and I stopped by a Jack in the Box for lunch and while at the "order box" the woman on the other end who spoke broken english had 2 children in there with her. As she was trying to take our order her children were talking over us!!?? Since when are children allowed in a drive through with their parents while at work? I tried to tell the woman I could not hear her and she then "yelled" back at me saying she could not hear me...my husband got very irritated and said "you cant hear us because your damn kids are talking to loud, shut your kids up and take our order"!! Now normally he is NOT like that in any way but this went on for a few minutes, it was ridiculous. She finally took care of the kids and took our order. Once we got to the window, she did not apologize, did not say anything not even have a nice day! I was so irritated that I got home and immediately went online to Jack in the Box's web site and submitted a complaint. They are following up with me on this but it still does not erase the bad taste in our mouths about the whole encounter. I mean I've worked my share of customer service related jobs, in fact every job I've had I have had to deal with people. I consider myself a "people person" and one thing for certain... the customer is always right , even when they are wrong you try to make them happy...!!! I mean come on, when I was young, I worked fast food , Mcdonalds (haven't we all??), a pizza shop, and Kings Family Resturant?? I've had my share of food service experience and never in my life would I have ever considered treating a customer that way....
On top of this experience, last night I ran to Wendy's to grab some dinner for us and when I got to the window, I tried to ask if there were 2 dressing packets and the woman at the window did not speak english and I was unable to make her understand what I was asking... isn't the language in the US ENGLISH??? So I get home and well I did get the salad dressing but they forgot my french fries!!!! I wanted my FRENCH FRIES!!! OK, I know it is only 99 cents but it is the principle, I ordered it, paid for it and expected to get it. I was all the way home and was not going back to get it...soooo now I'm off to the Wendy's web site to complain about the fact that I did not get my Fries....lol, I know petty but I'm just tired of poor customer service!!
