Sept 18, 2006

Well here it is another Monday night football game! My beloved Pittsburgh Steelers are playing the Jacksonville, Jaguars. I do hope that Pittsburgh wins , but I do keep reminding myself it is only a game and it is early in the season!
My FAVORITE cousin Lisa called me tonight (wink wink) I know she is going to read this...lol. It really did make my night though, we talk way to seldom but always promise to stay in touch alot better but niether of us ever does..I can't blame just her and can't just blame myself, life just keeps moving and things just keep happening. It does not help that she lives in PA and I'm in TX now does it? She did say she is planning on a "cross country trip" next year at this time and PROMISES to stop in and visit. Did you see that Lisa, I put it in my blog, so now you have to do it!
My weekend was eventful. Friday night we started a cleaning project. Eddie has decided to finally clean out our junk room. It is still a work in progress but it is looking much better. He was suppose to be working on it tonight but the football game won over cleaning...of course! Saturday we finally got my car inspected, whoo hoo, now that was fun! I know, I know, but it is a necessary evil you know. Saturday night we went to "Oktoberfest" in Addison with Lisa and Rob. We had a good time, listened to some great music and ate some great food. Sunday we met Mike and Elana for lunch at Cracker Barrell (yummy), and went to see the new house they are probably buying. It is a really nice place, I hope it all works out for them!! Sunday night Eddie and I were back at work cleaning up rooms upstairs....I am hoping by the end of next weekend it will all be completed. He promises me once the rooms are cleaned out he will start working on the garage... now lets talk about progress!!
We got rain yesterday! In fact I think it rained for over 4 hours. Now for anyone who is not from TX that is an amazing thing for us. I think we got almost 3 inches of rain, ok not much but it was a start. We could use at least another 10 days straight of rain like that and maybe , just maybe we would get out of these Stage 3 drought conditions!
