Dec 25, 2006

Well I do hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas and that Santa brought them everything that they wanted! I thought Eddie and I were going to have a quiet Christmas home alone this year but boy was I surprised. On Saturday Elena and Mike very good friends of ours called and invited us to have Christmas dinner with them and thier family. Of course we accepted!! It sure is nice to have good friends! Of course Sunday, Christmas Eve, poor Eddie woke up with a kidney stone!! Yup, poor guy was laying on the bathroom floor in the fetal position unable to move. He has had lots of them, he is just one of those people who are prone to them. I wanted to take him to the ER but he refused, he said they will just pump him full of pain meds, give him pain meds, a strainer and send him home and wish him luck. I know he is right, I've taken him before and that is exactly what happenes. So I grabbed his bottle of left over pain meds from before and gave him a couple with some Advil chasers and put him on the couch live out his misery. I felt so sorry for him, I've had 2 kidney stones and I know and understand the pian. It is like nothing you have ever experiences !! So Merry Christmas to Eddie! He spent the day on the couch and I did some cleaning and some grocery shopping, that was probably the excitement for that day.
Christmas morning he was filling a bit better but still had some pain. I thought he would not want to go to dinner since he was feeling so bad but he wanted to go anyway!! What a trooper..lol. I had made a big bowl of pasta salad and had a lemon creme cake to take with us so I packed up everything, Eddie grabbed some pillows and some more pain meds and we were on our way. We had a wonderful time, we are so thankful that we got the invite! Mike and Elena you guys are the best!! The picture above is of everyone opening thier presents, they made the poor kids wait till everyone go there to open thier presents so we could all watch. We had a blast.
Christmas evening we were just sitting around relaxing and watching the second half of the Cowboys loose thier football game, and Tonia nad Kieth called and stopped over. Of course it was wonderful seeing them and visiting. So what I thought was going to be an uneventful quiet Christmas turned into a wonderful day of spending time with freinds! Isn't is amazing how things work out sometimes?
I can only imagine what next year will be like!!!
