Yet another Dr's appointment today. I cannot beleive we are at 24 weeks in the pregnancy. I was told they will probably take the baby during week 38 or so.. that means that I have only about 14 weeks left in this whole process!!!
My appointment went ok today. They increased my insulin intake on the 3rd insulin that was prescribed for me last week..oh happy, happy joy , joy ! I did have another sonogram and would have put that picuture on the page but to be honest, it is very hard to make out a baby!! I mean the poor little thing is sooo squished in there there is not a lot of room to move around or for the dr to get a good picture. I told him I wanted a good picture for Grandma he said he would try but it did not work real well, soooo sorry MOM I tried!! We did get another DVD and there are a couple really cute shots on the DVD of her hand infront of her face and of her foot and hand moving around. I guess I will have to make copies of the DVD to send home! We did find out she weighs 1lb 10 oz right now. She is in the 75-90 percentile for growth. She is big but not yet "too big". Big babies are a problem for Diabetics, sooo I expect it will happen. I guess that just means we buy no newborn baby clothes for this little one! We will start out with 3 month old clothes...lol. As long as she is healthy , that is all I care about. We heard her heartbeat and they did a doppler on her to make sure her heart still looked good. It is such a big concern for us with Eddie's problem. But according to the dr everything looks great and she is growing just fine. All her organs look wonderful and healthy.
I now have to go back in 3 weeks, and after that it will be every 2 weeks for appointments. I can't beleive we are almost in the 3rd trimester...this time is really flying by. I told Eddie we have to get the nursery painted soon, we are going to be out of time soon! I also realized I have no clothes or anything for this little pumpkin and not to mention we still dont have a name....what are we waiting for, we havea baby on the way!!!!
